We have an underground Fiber Optic cable at Big South Fork Airpark that offers Highspeed Internet, Digital Cable and Telephone. Internet service can produce speeds of up to 10mb per second. Fiber optic networks operate at high speeds, carries a large bandwidth capacity, can be transmitted further without needing to be “refreshed” or strengthened and have a greater resistance to electromagnetic interference. Other underground utilities at the airpark include Natural Gas, City Water and Sewer and Three Phase Power. This is another great reason that Big South Fork Airpark has it all! Give us a call for more information on underground utilities, 877-BSF-PARK.

Governor now endorses death-tax repeal

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

money Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam says he now endorses death-tax repeal according to the Wall Street Journal. He had campaigned in 2010 to repeal the tax but once in office he became concerned about the revenue loss. Then this week he sealed a deal with the GOP state legislature to phase out the 9.5% estate tax entirely over four years. Nashville has never imposed an income tax, so by abolishing the estate tax Tennessee will make itself even friendlier to investment and to retirees. Airventure 2011Everyone at Big South Fork Airpark had a great time at AirVenture in Oshkosh 2011! We enjoyed meeting everyone at the airshow that wanted to learn more about our beautiful airpark. We also ran into lots of old friends and airpark residents. This years show was great for us. We were amazed with the amount of demand there was for airpark property. There were folks looking into second homes, retirement homes, full time residences as well as investment properties. If you have not had a chance to come for a visit, fly in and take a look around.
