U.S. Sport Aviation EXPO in Sebring set records for attendance and traffic according to organizers. The weather was perfect and for 2 hours on sat, Sebring was one of the busiest airports in the nation. The 8th Annual Wings Over Big South Fork Air & Car Show was a big hit! The air show was full of fighter jets, war birds, stunt planes and the Remote Area Medical DC-3 and parachute team. Thanks to all of our residents and visitors for a great airshow! We had a great time during our annual airshow dinner at our welcome center and it was nice meeting with all of the new visitors. Everyone at Big South Fork Airpark had a great time at AirVenture in Oshkosh 2011! We enjoyed meeting everyone at the airshow that wanted to learn more about our beautiful airpark. We also ran into lots of old friends and airpark residents. This years show was great for us. We were amazed with the amount of demand there was for airpark property. There were folks looking into second homes, retirement homes, full time residences as well as investment properties. If you have not had a chance to come for a visit, fly in and take a look around. The South East Tribe presented the International Comanche Society Convention in Sunny Savannah, Georgia on Aug 30th – Sep 4th, 2011. The 2011 airshow season starts off with record attendance at the Sebring Aviation Expo. Chairman Robert Wood tells our Bill Armstrong that Saturday they had record attendance. Good sign for 2011!
