We have an underground Fiber Optic cable at Big South Fork Airpark that offers Highspeed Internet, Digital Cable and Telephone. Internet service can produce speeds of up to 10mb per second. This green home was built by Carolina Contractors, our sister company, for Tom and Laurie Donald of Hilton Head, S.C. Carolina Contractors is a custom home design builder and general contractor that has provided their services and expertise to all of the homes in the airpark. The home is located on Old House Cay Island and is only accessible by boat. Some features include a 6 KW solar power system, ground source heat pump, custom cabinets with walnut counter tops, marble standing guest sink, custom iron railing and outside deck with oyster roast pit. Our annual Memorial Day Weekend BBQ at Big South Fork Airpark was packed with great friends, food and lots of fun. The White Knuckle Event hosted by Brimstone Recreation attracts thousands of people from across the eastern U.S. and some foreign countries. It is the largest festival of its kind in the region and offers guided ATV rides, poker runs, mud bogs and a wide variety of other activities. The 3-day event is held on Memorial Day weekend each year and is headlined by a Saturday evening concert featuring one of Nashville’s best-known recording artists. Spring has Sprung at BSF Airpark. Some airpark residents took part in a Spring ATV ride to High Gap waterfall and Mushroom Ridge. The Mushroom rock formation was a great place to take a break for lunch and watch the airplanes on approach for RWY 05. What a great time to come see the Airpark and explore the area!

Custom 4300 plus square foot timber framed home is now completed on taxiway. Home features standing seam metal roof, beautiful stonework, stunning timbers, hardwood floors and tile.

The current Federal Register/Vol.76 No. 53 that was published on March 18th notes, in part, “an interim policy amending and clarifying FAA policy concerning through-the-fence access…permits continuation of existing access… For reasons discussed in the notice, the FAA believes it is neither feasible nor necessary to eliminate existing through the fence arrangements…”
